Zeal Results are in and Energy Wins!

A recent clinical study backs up what we have been saying for years: Zeal makes a difference! The highly respected Canadian research firm, KGK Synergize, confirmed that drinking Zeal improved mood, increased energy levels and lessened anxiety and fatigue. But get this…the scientific study was done on content, healthy people. These folks thought they were feeling just fine…but after 28 days of two servings of Zeal per day, 85% of the participants could tell they felt better than fine. They felt less fatigue and anxiety while feeling more vigorous and energized.

Flexibility in the Workplace is Freedom

July is the month we reflect on freedom in the U.S., both on a personal and a national scale. We take a day to celebrate our country’s independence and for most of us, the being free part is just a given. Sure, we are proud and grateful that our forefathers fought a bloody battle so that we can enjoy the rights of “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” But, honestly…we are busy. Laboriously, industriously, painstakingly…busy.
According to the John D. MacArthur Professor of Political Science, Michael C. Dawson, most Americans are working more, a lot more, and earning less than their peers in other countries. Bernie Sanders, the recent presidential hopeful, fired up crowds of Americans with this blunt, but true, stump speech phrase: “The average American is working longer hours for lower wages.” ABC News recently reported, “Americans work more than anyone in the industrialized world. More than the English, more than the French, way more than the Germans or Norwegians. Even, recently, more than the Japanese.”

We’ve also set up our lives to earn income in a way that allows us to choose any day of the week and make it a “vacation” day. We can travel whenever we choose and we have traveled to some amazing places. We work hard at growing our business but early on we realized that a truly healthy lifestyle requires scheduled, planned breaks.

We are big on fresh starts here at A and L Masters. Leaving corporate America and finding our bliss in sharing Zurvita has given us a feeling of spring every day! And spring is the perfect time to “begin again.”

Most countries around the world have some type of home spring-cleaning tradition. We open the windows, welcome the warmer breezes and chase the dust bunnies out from under the bed. This is also the perfect season to consider cleansing other areas of your life. Our hearts, minds and spirits can become hazy, just like the film covered living room windows, if we don’t take an inventory now and then. While sprucing up your living space, consider these tips for a start at clearing out your own personal cobwebs!

Focus on Functional Food

Are you eating a healthy well balanced diet and still not feeling first-string? If so, you are not alone. Current farming and agricultural practices are not focused on keeping nutrient levels high. Soils are often depleted and the addition of herbicides, pesticides, antibiotics and growth hormones all deeply affect the quality of the end food product. The nutrient density in our fruits, vegetables and meat sources is determined in the growing and raising phase…and let’s face it; farming is not as wholesome as it once was.

Get ready for it…here come all of those Resolution people. You know, the hyped up peeps in their new neon Lycra who crowd your gym workout space for three weeks and then you don’t see them again until next January? New Year resolutions are fun but they aren’t the same as clearly defined goals and they usually don’t stick. Meeting goals is a process and takes work; both in the activity stage and in the planning.

The great news is a ton of research supports you being happier if you define and work toward a goal, even if you don’t make it. If goals are new to you, your best bet is to keep the process as simple as possible. Below are three easy steps you can use as a template.

Just Take a Walk

A few years ago I met a man, for privacy let’s call him Dean, who lost 120 pounds in a year by doing nothing more than taking a daily walk. He didn’t diet or Zumba or lift anything heavier than a beer. He simply started walking and then made a commitment to keep going. Our encounter was three years after the weight loss and it was difficult to imagine him carrying around the equivalent of an extra person. He talked about his walks as if they were treasure hunts, describing corners of our town he found delightful, that I had never paid attention to. One of his favorite trails that followed a creek was also a favorite walk of mine but the way he described the wildflowers and blue heron we both saw along the path, made me feel as though I’d been walking blind!
